The Bluest of Blue

My understanding of blueberries was that all little kids love them. I've seen all of my friend's children gobble them up out of those little cartons many times. They are a perfect, healthy snack and super easy too! So when summer rolled around again, I figured that my little man would be pleased to have some fresh local blueberries from our farmer's market. But no, he's not into them. Ever. Unless of course another friend offers them to him on the 4th of July in a very cool way. They were on a wooden skewer with a red strawberry on top! But that's the only time. So fine, more for me then. Let me share with you the best breakfast parfait!

Ingredients
1/4 cup blueberries
1/4 cup of your favorite granola
1/2 cup of Greek yogurt
A dash of roasted almonds

Put all ingredients together in a bowl and enjoy a healthy, filling breakfast. This antioxidant filled meal will keep you going all morning. It's hardly a recipe, but it's delicious! We've been enjoying a new item in our house lately, Seven Stars Farm organic yogurt. It's not thick like Greek yogurt but it's pretty tasty. If you see it in the market, we highly recommend it! Otherwise my go-to is Fage. Me and my little one really enjoy them both.

  1. So funny! You will come to find that you will do just about anything to get your kids to eat something. I have found that kids love to eat with tooth picks. Anything! They love to stab the food and eat it like a mini skewer. Worth a shot! I'm gonna try that parfait recipe!
